Community Education Center
The Community Education Center (CEC) at 3500 Lancaster Avenue will feature an exhibition
of work by nine artists who live and work around Nairobi, Kenya. Meek Gichugu, John
Gitonga, Wanu Brush, Shine Tani, Rehab Tani, Martin Kamuyu, Nich N., Joe Friday, Shade
Kamau, and Lucky Mutebi will be the artists displayed throughout the public spaces of the

to form the University City Arts League at 4226 Spruce St.
Clark Park
Established in 1895, Clark Park is in the heart of Philadelphia's University City neighborhood.
With more than 300 trees, the park covers nine acres. The park's boundaries are Baltimore
Avenue, Woodland Avenue, 43rd Street and 45th Street. In addition to private residences, the
park's neighbors include the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, the HMS School for
children with Cerebral Palsy and a City of Philadelphia District Health Center.
